arthr pty ltd · ABN 39 697 205 486Last updated 2 June 2026

These terms govern your use of the Arthr website and the Ask Arthr assistant. Please read them carefully. By using our website or services, you agree to these terms.

1About these terms

This website and the Ask Arthr assistant are operated by arthr pty ltd (ABN 39 697 205 486, ACN 697 205 486) of 518 Old South Head Road, Rose Bay NSW 2029 (“Arthr”, “we”, “us” or “our”). Arthr is an authorised credit representative of 1st Street Pty Ltd trading as 1st Street Financial (ABN 29 101 256 348), the holder of Australian Credit Licence 389328.

By accessing or using our website or services, you agree to be bound by these terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

2Our service

Arthr provides general information about home loans and credit products, online tools and calculators, and the Ask Arthr assistant, and helps connect you with credit assistance provided under 1st Street’s credit licence. The Ask Arthr assistant is an informational tool that helps you explore your options and prepare for a conversation with a broker.

We are not a lender or credit provider. Any loan is provided by a third-party lender under its own terms, and any credit assistance is provided under 1st Street’s credit licence and subject to a full assessment.

3Not financial or credit advice

Any figures — including interest rates, repayments, borrowing capacity, and affordability estimates — are indicative, may change, and are subject to lender criteria, a full assessment, and lender approval. Actual rates, terms and eligibility are determined by the relevant lender.

4No guarantee of outcomes

We do not guarantee that you will be approved for any loan, that any particular rate or product will be available to you, or that any estimate will match a lender’s final offer. We do not guarantee that our website or the Ask Arthr assistant will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at all times.

5Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of Australia to use our services. By using our services, you confirm that you meet these requirements. Our services are not intended for anyone under 18.

6Your responsibilities

You agree that:

  • the information you provide is true, accurate, current and complete, and you will keep it up to date;
  • where you provide information about another person (such as a co-applicant or guarantor), you are authorised to do so and have made them aware of our Privacy Policy;
  • you will use our website and services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms;
  • you will not misuse, interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our website, the Ask Arthr assistant, or our systems, or bypass any security measures;
  • you will not use any automated means (such as scraping, crawling or harvesting) to access, copy or collect data from our website or the Ask Arthr assistant without our written consent; and
  • you will not introduce any virus, malware or harmful code, or use our services in any way that is unlawful, fraudulent or harmful.

You are responsible for any decisions you make based on information obtained from our website or the Ask Arthr assistant.

7AI and automated outputs

The Ask Arthr assistant uses artificial intelligence. AI-generated responses may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, and should not be relied upon as advice or as a credit decision. Any credit decision is made by a lender, with human involvement, following a full assessment. You should verify any important information with your broker before acting on it. Our handling of information through these features is described in our Privacy Policy.

8Third-party content and links

Our website may contain content, tools, reviews and links provided by third parties (including lenders and review widgets). We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, products, services or websites, and their inclusion does not imply our endorsement. Your dealings with third parties are solely between you and them.

9Intellectual property

All intellectual property in our website and services — including the Arthr name and brand, text, graphics, design, and software — is owned by or licensed to us. You may use our website for your personal, non-commercial purposes only. You must not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute or commercially exploit any part of it without our prior written consent.

10Privacy

We handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. By using our services, you consent to that handling.

11Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our website and services are provided “as is” and “as available”, and we exclude all warranties, representations and guarantees that are not expressly set out in these terms.

Subject to the rights you have that cannot be excluded, and to the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • we are not liable for any indirect, special, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss of profits, savings, data, or opportunity, however arising; and
  • our total aggregate liability to you arising out of or in connection with your use of our website and services is limited to AUD $100.

We are not liable for any loss or damage caused by matters beyond our reasonable control, including the acts or omissions of lenders, third parties, or service providers.

12Indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify us against any loss, liability, cost or expense we suffer arising out of or in connection with your breach of these terms, your misuse of our website or services, your provision of inaccurate information, or your provision of another person’s information without authority — except to the extent that the loss is caused by our own negligence, fraud or wilful misconduct, or our breach of these terms.

13Suspension and termination

Acting reasonably, we may suspend, restrict or terminate your access to our website or services if you have breached these terms, or where we consider it necessary to protect our systems, our users, or third parties, or to comply with the law. Where practicable, we will give you notice; in some cases — for example, suspected fraud or a security risk — we may need to act without prior notice.

14Changes

We may change these terms or our services from time to time. The current version will be available on our website and takes effect when posted. Where a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you — for example, by posting a notice on our website — before it takes effect. Your continued use of our website or services after a change means you accept the updated terms.

15General

Electronic communications. You agree that we may provide communications, notices and documents to you electronically — including by email, SMS, messaging services, or by posting them on our website or in the Ask Arthr assistant — and that this satisfies any legal requirement that they be given in writing.

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding your use of our website and services. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, it will be severed and the remaining provisions will continue in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign your rights under these terms without our consent.

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.
